BingX is a derivatives-focused exchange founded in 2018 that reports more than 40 million users. Its standard fees sit at the low end of the market, with 0.10% on spot and 0.02% maker / 0.05% taker on perpetual futures. The weak side is trust. A hot-wallet breach drained $52 million in September 2024, Trustpilot users rate the platform 1.6 out of 5, and residents of the US, UK and Canada are shut out, which leaves Australia as the only one of our four markets with access.

Our verdict
BingX keeps trading costs low and lists a wide range of assets, with copy trading and TradFi perpetuals on top. Against that sit a $52 million hot-wallet breach in 2024 and a 1.6 Trustpilot score driven by frozen-account complaints. Residents of the US, UK and Canada have no access.

Key facts
Josh Lu founded BingX in 2018. Company listings name BingX SG Pte. Ltd. in Singapore as the operator, though Singapore itself is on the restricted list, and since 2026 press releases come from Panama City. The group holds market-by-market registrations instead of one top-tier license.
| Market | Status, November 2026 | Register or authority |
|---|---|---|
| United States | Restricted, including all US territories | No SEC or CFTC registration |
| United Kingdom | Restricted | Not on the FCA register of authorized firms |
| Canada | Restricted | MSB status announced in January 2022, current terms exclude Canada |
| Australia | Available | AUSTRAC registration, BINGX GLOBAL PTY LTD |
| European Union | MiCA entity licensed, launch date pending | FCIS (Lithuania), FMA (Austria) |
The MSB status BingX announced in 2022 covers anti-money-laundering duties. It does not authorize an offshore platform to sell crypto derivatives to retail clients. Datawallet notes that accounts traced to US access through a VPN breach the customer agreement and face suspension with funds held.
The AUSTRAC entry in Australia has the same limited scope. It is an anti-money-laundering registration for digital currency exchanges, and BingX holds no ASIC Australian Financial Services License.
In the UK, the Financial Times reported that BingX, Chelsea FC's principal sponsor since 2024, did not appear on the FCA register. It is not on the FCA Warning List either. Belgium's FSMA issued an investor alert on BingX, republished by Norway's Finanstilsynet on 8 June 2023.
On 13 October 2026, Austria's FMA authorized BingX EU (MEGE zweite GmbH) under MiCA for custody, exchange and brokerage across 29 EEA countries. No launch date has been given. MiCA does not cover crypto derivatives, so perpetual futures sit outside this license.
BingX charges flat entry-level rates without a platform token or VIP tier. Volume discounts start from 30-day turnover.
| Fee | Standard rate | Top tier |
|---|---|---|
| Spot maker / taker | 0.10% / 0.10% | 0.014% / 0.04% at $15 million 30-day volume |
| Perpetual futures maker / taker | 0.02% / 0.05% | 0% / 0.028% at Supreme VIP |
| Standard futures | 0.045%, charged on close only | n/a |
| P2P trading | 0% | 0% |
| Crypto deposit | Free | Free |
| Card purchase (Quick Buy) | Set by the third-party provider, shown at checkout | n/a |
| USDT withdrawal (TRC20) | 1 USDT | Network-dependent |
| BTC withdrawal | 0.0005 BTC | Network-dependent |
| ETH withdrawal | 0.0015 ETH | Network-dependent |
Withdrawal figures come from third-party fee listings from 2025 and 2026. The live amount appears in the withdrawal window and moves with network load.

On 20 September 2024 BingX spotted abnormal withdrawals from a hot wallet in the early hours, Singapore time. Chief Product Officer Vivien Lin first called the loss "minor." It was not. Cyvers tracked outflows across Ethereum, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Optimism, Polygon, Base and Arbitrum and put the total above $52 million, and SlowMist counted $45 million over 11 chains, swapped out fast.
Withdrawals on BNB Chain and TRC20 USDT came back the next morning, 08:30 UTC+8. Other assets returned over two weeks. BingX said it would cover the losses itself, and later reporting states affected users were reimbursed in full. So the money came back. The trust took longer, partly because the first statement understated the damage by half.
We found no record of a solvency-related withdrawal halt or a regulator fine against BingX as of November 2026.
After the breach BingX launched a security program called ShieldX and later added ISO 27001 certification. Account-level protection includes the following controls.
Clone sites remain a separate risk. The British Columbia Securities Commission placed one of them, x-bingx.net, on its warning list, and BingX names bingx.com as its only official domain.
BingX publishes a Merkle-tree proof of reserves each month. Users confirm their balance sits in the liability set, and the exchange shows wallet holdings against it. The 15 July 2026 snapshot reported these ratios.
| Asset | Reserve ratio, 15 July 2026 |
|---|---|
| BTC | 142.82% |
| ETH | 126.48% |
| USDT | 131.83% |
| USDC | 124.41% |
The 2022-2023 report carried verification by the audit firm Mazars. The July 2026 announcement names no external auditor. A snapshot confirms assets against customer balances on one date and says nothing on other liabilities. The $150 million Shield Fund is a company-run reserve for incident compensation. It is not insurance, and BingX does not publish payout rules for it.
Third-party counts from April 2026 put BingX at 780 spot pairs and 380 perpetual contracts. The main product lines are these.
Every product is unavailable in restricted jurisdictions. EU residents face a second limit, since the MiCA license excludes derivatives.
Two pictures exist. They barely overlap.
Trustpilot shows a TrustScore of 1.6 from 766 reviews as of November 2026, with 181 posted in the last 12 months. Sixty-four percent are 1-star and 29% are 5-star, so almost nothing sits in the middle. BingX replies to 87% of negative reviews, usually within a week. Reviews.io gives the same 1.6 from 678 reviews, while AppGoblin tracks the iOS app at 4.7 on the US App Store.
The 2026 Trustpilot complaints repeat a short set of themes.
A September 2026 reviewer put it plainly.
I have completely lost trust in the support team.
App Store reviewers write of speed and coin choice. Trustpilot reviewers write of money they cannot move. Same exchange, different moment in the relationship, and an account that never trips a risk flag looks like the App Store version.
BingX fits a narrow profile. Its users tend to match the following description.
It fits poorly in these cases.
