Blockchain Phone ‘Exodus’ (HTC) Will Be Released Next Week

HTC, which is one of the biggest smartphone manufacturer from Taiwan, has reported about its intention to launch smartphone Exodus, powered with blockchain, in the nearest future.

The details of the corporation’s plans were published on its official Instagram page (currently isn’t available). Shared teaser video did not show much information about expected device. One of the most informative facts is suggestive day of the product’s debuting, namely Oct. 22.

The creator of Exodus Phil Chen is sure that the smartphone will definitely find its target audience. Its predicted price is approximately $1,000, as high as the cost of Sirin Labs’ Finney, which is the pioneer in the sphere of smartphones powered with blockchain. While speaking with CCN, Sirin Labs’s CMO has claimed that SIRIN OS is planning to elaborate secure experience for users, suitable for both blockchain & crypto-coins. This will enable everyone to use device and be fluent in the crypto world without the need to know any extra info.

Similarly to Finney phone, customers expect Exodus to be focused on security matters. The device is predicted to be powered with special storage place aimed at storing cryptocurrencies offline. Android OS as expected will also be maintained on the phone.

It has been previously reported that the Exodus’s users will gain a possibility to publish decentralized applications. In addition, it is going to be launchpad for own blockchain network of HTC.
