Why Winnie Lingham Thinks Bitcoin Will Not Grow

Winnie Lingham, the founder of Civic blockchain startup, argued with Ronnie Moas, head of Standpoint Research investment company about the price of Bitcoin in 2019. $20,000 are at stake.

The initiator of the dispute was Ronnie Moas. He challenged his “colleague”, arguing that by the end of 2019, the Bitcoin exchange rate would exceed $28,000. Ronnie is known for his bold predictions. For example, in December 2017, he stated that BTC would easily reach $ 400,000.

The Civic project manager is not a crypto skeptic. However, he does not believe that institutional investors’ entering the market will be able to high up the price of the digital coin to such an extent.

Do not rush to blame Winnie for not believing in the future of Bitcoin. He took a rather balanced position and is honest with himself. His opinion may well be considered authoritative. For example, in June 2017, he predicted that on August 1, 2017, the BTC pump would begin. He was not embarrassed by the fact that bitcoin had been in flat for two months and was generally stable. As a result, he was absolutely right.

Let’s return to the dispute. The one who loses it will have to donate the stipulated amount to FreeRoss fund (Ross Ulbricht support fund). Dubious donation. Binance charity seems to be much fairer and more useful. However, this is only our subjective opinion.
